Day 01 Australia/Shanghai

 

Fly from Australia to Shanghai, Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be met by our CTS Guide and transferred to your hotel.

Day 02 Shanghai

Morning tour to the Bund, a popular promenade along the Huangpu River, where the old meets the modern in Shanghai, then to the Old Town with its winding alleyways, lined with shops, tea houses and restaurants, and to the elegant and tranquil Yu Garden. Continue to the Shanghai Xintiandi, which is a new tourist attraction in downtown Shanghai, featuring the city's unique "Shikumen" houses and a maze of narrow alleys, which have been converted into specialist F & B, retail, entertainment and cultural facilities. Dinner will be on your own arrangement. (B/L)

Day 03 Shanghai/Wuxi

Morning coach to Wuxi, well known for the picturesque Taihu Lake and green hills snaking along the lakeside. The places of interest and historical sites, you will visit Xihui Park, Liyuan Garden. In the evening you will try the local famous Qianlong Banquet, which was served to Emperor Qianlong 300 years ago. (B/L/D)

Day 04 Wuxi/Nanjing

In the morning take a coach to Nanjing, one of the seven famous capitals in ancient China. Visit to Sun Yut-sen Mausoleum built for Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the great pioneer of the Chinese revolution. Then visit the Fuzimiao, Old Quarter of the city along the Qinghai River (B/L/D)

 

 

 

Day 05 Nanjing/Suzhou

Coach to Suzhou, known as 'the Paradise on the earth' which remains the original layout of the Song Dynasty. The city enjoys a particular renown for her long history, brilliant culture, landscaped garden and ancient architecture. Tour to the splendid scenery of 'Tiger Hill', where you can see the Leaned Pagoda built in 400 years ago and 'Hanshan Temple', and Silk Factory etc. (B/L/D)

Day 06 Suzhou

Morning visit to "Fishing-Net Master's Garden", this tiny garden is a typical building complex of ancient China, then take a short cruise on Grand Canal. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at your own arrangement. (B/L)

Day 07 Suzhou/Wuzhen/Hangzhou

Take coach to Hangzhou. On the way, visit Wuzhen a well-preserved old town. This is the China of picture books, complete with narrow streets, simple and elegant homes, teahouses and intriguing shops. You will have time to visit the market and mingle with local citizens. Check in hotel in Hangzhou(B/L/D)

Day 08 Hangzhou

 

Take a morning cruise to the West Lake, located west of the city and hemmed in by mountains on three sides, you will enjoy the fabled scenery at 'Broken Bridge', 'Three Pools mirroring the Moon'. Then you will go to the West Lake Garden to see the Gold Fish. In the afternoon, continue onto the Lingyin Temple, which has a history over 1000 years. Afterwards you will also visit a local tea plantation and taste the rich and fresh green tea as well as acquaint you with the ancient refining process of tea. (B/L/D)

Day 09 Hangzhou/Shanghai

Visit Six Harmonies Pagoda, highly erected by the Qiantang River and to the south of the West Lake, is a perfect symbol of brick-and-wood structure built in the ancient China, and Guozhuang Garden. After lunch, drive to Shanghai, the biggest commercial city in China. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to the hotel. (B/L)

Day 10 Shanghai

Visit Shanghai Museum, one of the finest museums in China. Continue, we visit Jade Buddha Temple , well known for its Jade Buddha carved by a piece of jade. If time permit, visit the Children's Palace, a place for the kids to practice their out of school activities. (B/L)

 

Day 11 Shanghai/Australia

Before transferred to the airport for your flight back to Sydney, you are free to have the last chance for shopping or to explore this booming city. (B)

Day 12 Australia

Morning arrive in Australia.
